Hornsby

Excursion site

Hornsby, in particular the westside, is undergoing a transformation from a historically significant but run-down area into a lively, mixed-use hub for living, working, and socialising. Plans include introducing high-density residential towers with apartments, ground-level retail and commercial spaces, and new public areas like pedestrian plazas with outdoor dining and street trees. The revitalisation aims to balance growth with the preservation of the precinct's unique heritage character, which dates back to the early days of the railway (Hornsby Council).
