Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai NEST (Network for Environment and Sustainability Teachers)
Connect with passionate educators in our vibrant network dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. As a NEST member, you'll explore innovative teaching practices in authentic outdoor settings, from school gardens to national parks.
Our dynamic quarterly meetings rotate between inspiring locations, including local school gardens, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, community venues and Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre. Each term brings new opportunities to share ideas, learn practical strategies, and develop your outdoor teaching skills. Beyond our regular meetings, members enjoy exclusive invitations to guided canoe paddles, bushwalks, and nature photography sessions.
Whether you're a primary or secondary teacher, NEST supports your journey in environmental education, sustainability initiatives, Aboriginal Education, kitchen gardens, and student environmental leadership. Join us to enhance your teaching practice and be part of a supportive community making a difference in environmental education.
We meet Wednesdays in Week 8 each term from 4-5pm, with refreshments provided. Membership is free.
