Program

Photography is a great way for students to connect with the natural world and explore the nature areas of their school grounds.

During the program, the students, from up to three classes each day, will learn the techniques to take great photographs using the natural areas of their school as the subject.

Introduction

During a presentation, the students will be introduced to the techniques photographers use to capture great nature photographs. This session will include an introduction to the editing of photos to create visual effects.

Photographing nature

Each student will be allocated their own iPad to use and together with their partner, will visit the nature areas of the school to capture a series of nature photographs.

Final edits and display

After capturing their images, the students will select their best images and apply the editing techniques to create their final photo.

The images will be sent to the school to print and display.

2026 DoE $15 per student - GST free

2026 Non-gov school cost $25 per student - GST free, minimum charge $750 per class.

Risk Assessments A complete risk assessment will be sent upon confirmation.
Preparation

Please provide one learning space/classroom for all participating classes for the duration of the day.

Please ensure the space has a smart board.

Adverse weather On days where the weather may unsuitable, a Gibberagong staff member will contact the organising teacher to discuss alternative arrangments.
Medical notifications Notify Gibberagong EEC by completing and returning the medical form before the incursion. This form will be sent out upon confirmation of booking.
