- how different animals, including frogs, have different adaptations
- how frogs and their habitat can be protected
Key information
Learning activities
Session 1: Frog workshop
Meet a variety of different frogs and explore various adaptations of frogs, compare frogs to toads and learn all about tadpoles. Facilitated by a leading frog expert from the Frog and Tadpole Study group (FATS), you will become an expert on our local frogs by the end of this session.
Session 2: Frog adaptations games
Through interactive games, students will explore the different adaptations frogs have evolved. This fun, active session helps students grasp how different animals, including frogs, rely on adaptations to survive and thrive in their environment.
Session 3: Tracks and scats
Students become nature detectives, learning how to identify animals by the clues they leave behind. By examining tracks and scat samples, they’ll discover which creatures live in an area with the frogs, what they eat, and what animal may be causing frog numnbers to decline.
This activity sharpens observation skills and reveals how scientists study elusive wildlife without ever seeing the animals themselves.
