Program

The Aboriginal Cultural Immersion: Staff Development Day (SDD) is a whole of school professional learning program that enables teachers and other members of the school staff to enhance their knowledge of local Aboriginal land practices and culture with regards to the Aboriginal Education Policy and to integrate this into their school culture.

Standards

Aboriginal Cultural Immersion will contribute 5 hours of TIPL addressing 2.4.2, 6.2.2, 7.2.2, 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

  • $70.00pp PL program
  • $2.20pp for National Parks entry
  • $27.80pp catering (optional)

Aboriginal consultant $900.00 per consultant (only charged if this applies to your PL event)

Catering

Tea/coffee, morning tea and lunch.

Dietary requirements can be accommodated with notice.

Risk assessments A complete risk assessment will be sent upon confirmation.
What to bring Backpack, medication, water bottle, sunblock, raincoat, hat, sturdy shoes.
Adverse weather On days where the weather is unsuitable (see risk assessment), a Gibberagong staff member will contact the organising teacher to discuss alternative arrangements.
Medical notifications

Notify Gibberagong EEC by completing and returning the medical form before your event.

This form will be sent out upon confirmation of booking.
