Stage 3 excursions

Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre offers curriculum-aligned Stage 3 excursions in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and beyond. Students engage in hands-on geography fieldwork and environmental investigations, exploring ecosystems, sustainability and environmental change. Programs support learning in Geography, Science and cross-curriculum priorities while developing inquiry, observation and fieldwork skills.

This Stage 3 excursion explores Aboriginal Peoples’ connections to Country and introduces learners to the importance of Cultural obligations, traditional fire practices and caring for land.

This program focuses on Stage 3 Geography and sustainability, where students investigate environmental change, human impacts and strategies for a sustainable future through fieldwork in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park or Muogamarra Nature Reserve.
