Program overview
The Science and Technology K-6: Design Thinking teacher professional learning program increases particpants understanding of the Science syllabus, with a particular emphasis on design thinking.
The program includes gaining an understanding of the design thinking process, using practical fieldwork activities, that encourage teachers to engage students to solve real-world issues.
The course can be delivered as one 2 hour twilight session or as a session within a Staff Development Day.
Standards:
Science and Technology K-6: Design Thinking will contribute 2 hours of Elective PD addressing 1.2.2, 2.1.2, 3.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
