



The Geography Fieldwork K-6 teacher professional learning program increases particpants understanding of the Geography syllabus, with a particular emphasis on the geographical inquiry process, fieldwork and the use of geographical tools.
The program includes practical fieldwork activities, using geographical tools, that encourage teachers to use the school grounds as learning areas for student fieldwork.
The course is delivered as:
1. Two one hour sessions, with teachers encouraged to trial activities between sessions.
2. One 2 hour session as part of a Staff Development Day
Standards: Geography Fieldwork K-6 will contribute 2 hours of TIPL addressing 1.2.2, 2.1.2, 3.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
