



The Embedding Sustainability into Teaching and Learning teacher professional learning program increases particpants understanding of the the Learning Across the Curriculum area (LAC): Sustainability.
The program includes gaining an understanding of the key concepts/organising ideas of sustainability and a series practical/hands-on activities teachers can do with students. Finally, the program provides insights into how teachers can help develop the sustainable values and behaviours in their students.
The course can be delivered as one 2 hour twilight session or as a session within a Staff Development Day.
Standards:
Embedding Sustainability into Teaching and Learning will contribute 2 hours of Elective PD addressing 1.2.2, 2.1.2, 3.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
